St. Francis Hospital

CommonSpirit St. Francis Hospital, Interquest is a state-of-the-art health care facility located on a 40-acre campus in Colorado Springs. Norris Design provided landscape architecture and irrigation design services for the hospital, which supports growing community medical needs with 24/7 emergency services, a Flight for Life helicopter base, 72 inpatient beds, a 16-bay emergency room and a focus on spine and orthopedic specialties. The landscape prioritizes sustainability through native, water-efficient plant species that require minimal maintenance. Site amenities include an overstructure garden deck with orthopedic rehabilitation turf, a contemplation garden courtyard, an inviting arrival plaza, walking paths and low-impact parking lot planting design.
