The Garden Gate

Oro Valley, Arizona

Norris Design coordinated rezoning of this 1.3-acre site, managed plan submittals and provided the Native Plant Preservation, Landscape and Irrigation plans. The design team worked within the small site’s challenging parameters, including its location within the Scenic Corridor Overlay District and the inclusion of over seventy percent of the site within a no-significant-vegetation-disturbance limit. The landscape plan works with the extensive existing landscape, supplementing a dense bosque of trees on half of the site to provide a distinct character and buffer. The landscape serves as an outdoor display garden for the owner’s business and showcases a mix of regional and specialty plants.
