This master plan was completed for a five block site located along a river and the fourth ring road on Beijing’s south side. The development will include over 2,000 units of housing, multiple neighborhood centers for physical recreation, retail space, office space, an elementary school, a kindergarten and a large riverfront park. Housing complexes are organized around a series of large landscaped courtyards. The park space, courtyards, and streetscape spaces were designed to create an integrated outdoor environment for use by the new residents.
