In concert with the City of Tucson and the Downtown Tucson Partnership, Norris Design performed a regional analysis of the downtown streetscape and prior planning documents to identify the varying degrees of improvements to meet the new Downtown Tucson Streetscape Standards. After prioritizing each street based on various criteria, Norris Design was tasked with applying the new City of Tucson Streetscape Standards to each block. Scott Avenue was identified as an area of importance because it completes a 1/4-mile section of previous streetscape improvements. Norris Design provided the new street alignment and streetscape design, along with assistance in grant writing and presentations to the Rio Nuevo Board for funding.
