Norris Design worked with the Museum of Outdoor Arts (MOA) to design an annual and perennial planting design for the living walls at the popular Fiddler’s Green Amphitheater. The artful walls were part of improvements made to the Amphitheater in 2014. Powder-coated steel baskets known as gabions hold plants and the growing medium in place. With a design based on sound waves, the walls are the largest installation in North America with 25,000 plants. The living walls are ever-changing, planted each year with new annuals among the perennials that winter over from the year before.
