Outdoor spaces created for multi-family use must appeal to a diverse demographic, while enhancing the overall architectural vision for the building. In this space designed for Colorado Station, a new apartment building in Denver, there are two roof deck amenities, ground-level courtyards, a dog park and a pool featuring the year-round outdoor “aqua lounge”. All of these spaces become a shared “backyard” for residents and guests. Colorado Station will obtain LEED accreditation, so landscape choices and irrigation systems play a large part in sustainable design.
