The Grove

The Grove is a mixed-income community in Salt Lake City designed in conjunction with the redevelopment of the historic Northwest Pipeline buildings. Blending market-rate residences with high-quality affordable housing, the project creates a neighborhood rooted in inclusion, connection and long-term stability. Modern residential design pairs with an inventive approach to outdoor space, supporting everyday livability across a wide range of incomes and life stages. A defining feature is the reuse of the central fire lane as a pedestrian-focused spine. What could have functioned primarily as vehicular circulation becomes the heart of the site, connecting a community plaza, dog park and flexible gathering spaces. From the ground plane to private amenity areas atop the garage podium, the exterior experience feels cohesive, durable and people-centered while reflecting the natural character of the Wasatch Front.
