The Aurora Highlands

The Aurora Highlands is a 2,900-acre mixed-use master planned community and part of the larger 21,000-acre Aerotropolis development planned south of Denver International Airport. The community features a variety of housing types, commercial and industrial employment centers, a corporate campus, a medical campus, parks and open space. Norris Design completed the master planning and shaped the landscape and pocket park spaces that run adjacent to the community’s main thoroughfares. To activate otherwise overlooked spaces, the design incorporates high-impact plantings and vegetation interwoven with footpaths, creating visual interest, usability and a connected arrival experience.
