Talise

Talise is a 13,000-acre mixed-use master planned community in Laredo, Texas, just northeast of the Rio Grande. Rooted in Texas heritage, the community is envisioned with the scale, strength and continuity to one day become a full-fledged town. Planning, landscape architecture and branding worked together from the beginning to establish the larger vision for the land, then carried that vision into the brand identity, early development parcels, neighborhood entries, monumentation and design guidelines for uses ranging from residential neighborhoods to industrial parks. The community’s name means beautiful water, reflecting both the land’s heritage and the vital resource that makes development possible. A stylized S in the logo symbolizes running water and the Running W cattle brand once used by the Walker family on site, connecting the community’s future to the history of the land.
