Maryland Creek Town Park

Maryland Creek Park is the newest park in the Town of Silverthorne network. Norris Design worked with Summit Sky Ranch and the Town of Silverthorne to produce the Master Plan and then full design documents for the 20-acre facility. The planning process included extensive community engagement, working with stakeholder committees and charrettes with Town staff to reach the community’s needs and goals. Norris Design incorporated the rich ranching history of the site when designing the park, taking care to preserve existing trees and landscape as much as possible, while also perpetuating the vernacular of the site through the architectural style of all on-site structures. The park features two multi-use sports fields, a disc golf course, a dog park, a sledding hill, a playground, restrooms, a warming hut and storage building, a picnic pavilion, site furnishings and an extensive trail network. Identified during the engagement process, all park amenities were chosen by the community.
