Downtown Connection Center

To help solve capacity constraints, the Mountain Line transit agency in Flagstaff undertook a design process to create a new building to function as their headquarters. This new space will also accommodate community meetings and events. The existing Downtown Connection Center includes three parcels with minimal amenities and no ability to expand. Norris Design led planning and design for the civic space outside the new facility. The design includes a universally accessible circulation system of ramps and steps, with design details that nod to the building design to visually connect the space. The Norris Design team also coordinated with a team of artists to site a sculptural piece in the plaza space.
