Adams County Government Center

The Adams County Government Center and Natural Park is designed to welcome visitors, employees and residents into a civic campus with a direct connection to the natural environment and the County’s historical foundations. While the Government Center anchors the site, the Natural Park is the defining open space, buffering the campus from nearby major highways while encouraging exploration of the native landscape. Historically used as irrigation storage ponds for adjacent farms, the site was given new sustainable purpose through the rehabilitation and preservation of ponds into a cascading series of wetland cells. A regional pedestrian and bike trail winds around the wetlands, connecting users with the landscape and the diverse wildlife species that call the area home.
