Southshore Recreation Center Groundbreaking

Earlier this month, Norris Design along with the development team, celebrated the groundbreaking for the Southshore Recreation Center. In conjunction with the adjacent Spinnaker Park, the 12-acre Recreation Center is the second incorporated into the Southshore community. This multi-use recreation facility will be the home for the headquarters of the YMCA Aurora Branch.

Planned to accommodate events such as weddings and corporate gatherings, the facility also includes a competition lap pool, an activity pool, climbing boulders, spacious sailing themed pool decks and turf grass areas, a snack shack and storage building. The site also includes a neighborhood and regional trail connection hub, and an outdoor fitness area.
