The Aurora Highlands Wins Best Community Land Plan

We’re honored to share that The Aurora Highlands, a transformative master planned community in Aurora, Colorado, has been awarded the 2025 Gold Nugget Award for Best Community Land Plan.

Presented at PCBC, the Gold Nugget Awards recognize the best in planning, design and development across the nation and internationally. This recognition celebrates the comprehensive, community-forward approach of The Aurora Highlands, and we’re proud to have led the land planning efforts that brought this vision to life.

Spanning over 2,900 acres, The Aurora Highlands is a dynamic mix of residential neighborhoods, commercial hubs, civic amenities and open space, woven together by a connected network of parks, trails and walkable streets. The plan balances housing choice, environmental sustainability and long-term livability—delivering a place where people of all ages and incomes can thrive.
