Norris Design Volunteers for National Public Lands Day

Recently, team members from Norris Design’s Denver and Phoenix offices volunteered in support and celebration of National Public Lands Day.

In Colorado, team members joined JeffCo Open Space to clean up a 22-mile stretch of Clear Creek. Nearly 700 volunteers helped to collect 13 tons of trash from the waterways and surrounding areas. In Arizona, team members joined Natural Restorations in removing bottles, cans and other trash from the Lower Salt River at Phon D Sutton Recreation Area. Nearly 250 volunteers cleaned up the area on foot and in kayaks.

It’s a pleasure to be part of a volunteer community making such a noticeable impact. Meeting new people with a common purpose makes it even more fun! — Connie Denk, Senior Associate

National Public Lands Day is celebrated each year on the fourth Saturday in September. Events held throughout the United States help to promote both popular enjoyment and volunteer conservation of public lands.
