Southshore Lighthouse Recreation Center Grand Opening

In May, Norris Design celebrated the grand opening of the Southshore Lighthouse Recreation Center in Aurora. This recreation center is the second facility to be added to the Southshore master planned community and supports the functions of the Lakehouse Recreation Center, which Norris Design helped renovate in 2017. Our team celebrated the groundbreaking of this development in July 2020.

The grand opening event celebrated the culmination of the team’s vision for the project and their efforts working through project coordination, entitlements, design, installation and construction. Norris Design assisted in designing the pool decks along with eight acres of landscape and park area, which features a sizeable sledding hill, a multi-use playground area and a connection to the community trail system.
