Norris Design Joins Jefferson County Open Space for National Trails Day 2022
Norris Design joined a group of volunteers earlier this month to support Jefferson County (JeffCo) Open Space as they celebrated National Trails Day. This was the second year in a row that Norris Design employees took time to help maintain and restore trails with JeffCo. The group focused on making the trails more accessible to those who use wheelchairs and other mobility devices at Elk Meadow Park in Evergreen. The result was a 16,000-foot loop trail.
National Trails Day is celebrated each year on the first Saturday in June. Events held throughout the United States help promote awareness of the wide variety of benefits that trails provide, encouraging people to discover their local trails and raising awareness of trail issues in an effort to instill excitement for the outdoors.
I love hiking and being outdoors, so to help the organization that
maintains these public trails felt like an incredible opportunity. — Amanda Cesario, Marketing Coordinator
Norris Design has been working with Jeffco since 2018 to provide public health analysis, community engagement, data collection, brand identity development and master plan development. Our collaboration began with the creation of the Westracks Masterbrand identity.
Following the successful launch of Westracks last year, Norris Design began working to develop a public health analysis and support community engagement efforts for the Jeffco Trails Plan. Building on those efforts, we launched collaborative internal workshops to co-create the vision statements for the Jeffco Trails Plan and Jeffco Greenprint 2025 with the Open Space leadership team. Both the Jeffco Trails Plan and Jeffco Greenprint 2025 have been reviewed by the local community and officially adopted by the County.
