Norris Design honored as ACE Mentor Firm of the Year

Posted on May 18, 2022

Norris Design is honored to be named the Mentor Firm of the Year by ACE Mentoring of Colorado! ACE serves high school students who want to explore careers in architecture, construction and engineering. Norris Design team members have volunteered to support this program for 15 years.

The ACE Mentor Program is valuable for students who get to see the rich, viable career opportunities. It also gives us a chance to gain new perspectives on how to mentor on projects in a way that ultimately strengthens our deliverables and relationships in our own workplaces. — Caroline Rice, Senior Associate

This year, seven local high school students were awarded a collective $28,000 in college scholarships for their excellent work in the program. A special thanks to Norris Design’s Annie O’Brien, Caroline Rice, James Rymer, Jared Sickmann, Rachel Nicolaison and Shaelyn Vering for volunteering their time and sharing their craft!

Investing in the youth of your community is important because you’re investing in the future. I truly think that investing in youth, teaching and inspiring young people is the most hopeful and sustainable thing anyone can do. — Shaelyn Vering, Project Manager
