Norris Design Fort Collins Builds Bikes for Kids with Wish for Wheels

Posted on October 31, 2021

Last month, Norris Design’s Fort Collins office joined Wish for Wheels, Bike Fort Collins and other community volunteers to build and deliver nearly 350 bikes and helmets to Title I elementary schools in the Poudre School District.

The build event took place at New Belgium Brewing where Norris Design staff and families helped to unload, assemble and provide quality checks for the bikes. Staff also volunteered at the bike and helmet delivery day, fitting kids with their new helmets and rides. Bikes were delivered to six elementary schools in the Poudre School District.

It was heartwarming to see how excited the kids were to receive their bikes! This was a great event to enable and encourage our young community to be more bike friendly! — Ellie Nyquist, Associate

According to their website, Wish for Wheels’ mission, through the gift of a new bicycle and helmet, is to transform the lives of 2nd graders from low-income communities, broadening their scope for personal growth and a healthy lifestyle. Norris Design is proud to have partnered with this Colorado-based 501(c)(3) to improve the quality of life for kids in our community.
