Friday Afternoon Bike Club cruises into its second season
This Spring through Fall, members of Norris Design’s Fort Collins office are back for season two of what they call the Friday Afternoon Bike Club (FABC). These monthly rides route through some of Northern Colorado’s iconic bikeways, parks, natural areas and neighborhoods, and feature a local brewery as the last stop. After all, what encapsulates Fort Collins’ culture quite like a bike-to-brew?
For their May ride, FABC rolled out from Norris Design’s downtown office for a 12(ish)-mile urban tour. The group rode past construction of the Tenney Court North and West Oak Alley Enhancements — renovations to two historic downtown alleys that the FoCo team designed in concert with the Fort Collins Downtown Development Authority (DDA).
From there, FABC made a quick stop at the Gardens on Spring Creek before taking the Mason Trail straight South to Zwei Brewing Company, a local staple.
The bike ride was a fun way to see the town and visit some local projects all while getting to know folks! – Zoe McLaughlin | Landscape Designer
FABC has planned monthly urban, trail and family-friendly rides from June through October. Riders of all abilities and from all Norris Design offices are invited to join the Club in exploring NoCo gems like Spring Canyon Bike Park and Lory State Park.
