UPDATE
What was originally believed to be the remains of a “Tiny” the Triceratops has been confirmed to be a close cousin, a Torosaurus. The two dinosaurs are nearly identical, but the torosaurus were “longer, thinner and had a more delicate frill” upon their heads.

Construction workers prepping the site of the new City of Thornton Fire and Police Substation uncovered a Triceratops fossil dating back 66 million years. One of three Triceratops discovered along the Front Range, the fossil is currently being excavated by staff from Denver’s Museum of Nature and Science. Norris Design is a member of the design team for the new station.
