Norris Design Builds Holiday Care Kits for High-Risk Youth

Posted on December 4, 2020

Just down the street from the Norris Design Phoenix office sits New Pathways for Youth. The Phoenix-based mentorship program serves youth between the ages of 12 and 21 and annually collects gift cards and care kits filled with toiletries to make the holiday season brighter for their youth. Norris Design has joyfully participated in this effort for the past two years. This year, members of the Norris Design Phoenix team donated the necessary supplies and gift cards to assemble 14 care kits to be distributed by New Pathways.

The youth of New Pathways experience heightened levels of adversity such as parent incarceration, abuse, neglect and substance abuse. Through the program, youth receive individual mentoring, which includes evidence-based personal development, life skills retreats and workshops. Norris Design Principal Alan Beaudoin has volunteered for years as a mentor and proudly announced recently that his mentee graduated from college.

We hope the care kits and gift cards will allow the New Pathways youth to experience a more hopeful holiday season!
