Our Story
Giving Back
Boys & Girls Club
Norris Design, an active supporter of Boys & Girls Club of Denver, has focused our contributions on the summer program at Gates Camp in the Rockies. This unique camp offers Boys & Girls Club members a chance to escape the sometimes stark realities of city life and gain new perspectives. Campers have the opportunity to make deep connections with both nature and a dedicated staff by participating in hiking, canoeing, backpacking, fishing, rock climbing, archery, horseback riding, hands-on environmental games, and other outdoor activities. These programs and activities teach kids to explore new ideas, work in teams, and support one another.

Ace Mentoring Program
Founded in 1994, the ACE Mentor Program introduces high school students to career opportunities within the design and construction industry. Design firms band together into separate teams, each organized like a typical design and construction team, and "adopt" students from local high schools. Mentors from each of the firms work directly with students introducing them to a broad range of projects and people in the industry and the various design professions and roles that each performs in planning, designing and constructing a project. Students gain first hand insight by touring project offices and visiting active construction sites as well as working closely with their mentors to solve challenging "real world" projects. The program offers scholarships for ACE graduates and these continue to be awarded on an annual basis to students who go on to college to study for a career in the design and construction industry.
