Crow Creek Tribal School Obtains LEED Silver

The Crow Creek Tribal School
had it's ribbon cutting on August 22, 2012. The project obtained LEED Silver certification
The replacement school was funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) of 2009. After the previous dormitory burned down in a fire in 2005, the new dormitory serves 100 students in grades 7-12. The 19,000 square foot gymnasium was built first and can hold 800 people.
The school utilizes a ground source heat pump for heating and cooling and solar hot water heating is used throughout the dormitory.
