Town of Frisco cuts ribbon on Walter Byron Park improvements

Posted on November 5, 2020

Recently, Town of Frisco officials hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony at Walter Byron Park to celebrate the completion of the park’s new restroom facility and playground. Residents and visitors were invited to check out upgraded features, which include improved pedestrian access, a toddler bike loop, expanded play area, nature play features and a new all-season restroom facility. The new restroom is designed to serve those using the park and recreation path running along Tenmile Creek.

Norris Design completed the Frisco Neighborhood Parks Master Plan in the Fall of 2019. A robust public outreach process resulted in the prioritization of upgrades at four Frisco neighborhood parks over the next five years. Walter Byron Park is the first park to begin phased improvements. Norris Design was instrumental in moving the design forward from the concept design completed in the Master Plan to a design/build construction drawing set and finally to completion.
